Key Points

Below is a list of key points that I find to be very important.

  1. Jesus is one of the only Prophets to not gain from the creation of his religion.
  2. Jesus steadfastly refused earthly honors, power, prestige, wealth and glory.
  3. God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit are ONE – The Holy Trinity.
  4. The Bible is one of the most (if not the most) historically accurate books in existence today.
  5. There is only 1 unforgiveable sin and that is blasphemy against The Holy Spirit.
  6. The Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.
  7. According to most scholarly consensus, the earliest copies of individual gospels date back to around the mid-to-late first century AD, with the Gospel of Mark generally considered the earliest, followed by Matthew and Luke, and then John, with the most widely accepted timeframe being between 70 and 100 AD.
  8. AD stands forĀ Anno Domini, which is Latin for in the year of the Lord. It’s a way of counting years based on the estimated birth of Jesus Christ. BC stands for Before Christ, and it’s a way of counting years before the estimated birth of Jesus Christ. AD starts with year 1 and continues to the present day.
  9. Morality Before Christianity was characterized by cruelty, oppression, and a lack of rights for women. The average ancient Roman was primarily concerned with survival, and the lower classes had teachings that encouraged outsmarting rivals.
Some other aspects of pre-Christian morality include:
Violence: The pagan gods were often violent and depicted as adulterers, liars, thieves, oppressors, and murderers.
Women’s rights: Women had few rights and were considered to be their husbands’ slaves.
Polygamy: Polygamy was common in many regions.
    Incest: Incest was common.
Early Christian writings introduced themes of faith, hope, love, and justice, which were a radical departure from the morality of the ancient world. Christians were taught to love one another with generosity because God loves them so abundantly.
  10. Jesus was crucified.
    John The Baptist was Beheaded.
